Accessibility

The Mardin Digital Bibliography is developed against the WCAG 2.2 AA target. Our goal is an archive usable by everyone — with screen readers, keyboards or different visual abilities.

Measures in place

  • Full keyboard navigation with visible focus rings
  • Skip-to-content link
  • Heading hierarchy and ARIA labels
  • High-contrast text colours on the dark background
  • An accessible list alternative for the relations graph
  • Text summaries and tables for statistics charts
  • Animations disabled under prefers-reduced-motion
  • Full RTL layout in Arabic; DOIs and Latin citations keep their natural direction
  • Touch targets of at least 44 pixels
